You need to review ALL 3 of your client’s credit reports and carefully analyze them. Understand their score factors and the details before you start disputing. Experian doesn’t provide the details with the factors, so it is the least helpful.
Carefully analyze the factors for each report and review each derogatory account. Note which credit bureaus report it and how the reporting differs.
- Any dispute can result in deletion and deletion can lower your scores if it’s your oldest account for that account type – even if it’s a charge-off.
- An account that’s only reported to one bureau can be reported to all 3 CRAs in response to a dispute.
