Please note that an account can NOT be open with the creditor and listed with a collection agency at the same time. You will be able to dispute this account a NOT be factual by pointing out the following in a dispute letter:
“this account is being reported as opened when it was resolved as agreed. In addition, it is currently being reported by a collection agency that is invalid. Please delete these entries.”
