E-Oscar Codes



You won’t find this on the internet. Only companies that use E-Oscar have access to this information.

Agents viewing disputes in the E-Oscar system are presented with all of the consumer’s personal information as well as account information. There are two columns labeled “Original’ and “Response”.

The original column contains the current information as reported, and response column has a text box where the agent can optionally provide updated information.

The agent is presented with ONLY TWO dispute codes and is required to specify a single response code before able to submit the response. Agent is also presented with a field titled “FCRA Relevant Information” which appears to be the comments specified by the consumer when disputing online (example: THIS ITEM DOES NOT BELONG TO ME, I WAS SERVING IN IRAQ WHEN THIS ACCOUNT WAS OPENED).

It also sometimes appears to be a very brief single sentence summary of a consumer’s dispute letter (example: CONSUMER STATES THIS ACCOUNTS FIRST DELINQUENCY WHEN IT FIRST BECAME 180 DAYS LATE AND INITIAL REPORTED BALANCE 162 DOLLARS AND IF THE ACCOUNT WAS LEGITIMATELY TRANSFERRED AND AUTHORIZED TO ANOTHER LENDER)

Response codes:

01: Account information accurate as of date reported
02: Modify account information as indicated
03: Delete account
04: Misrouted ACDV, please reroute
07: Delete due to Fraud

Dispute codes (not a complete list, will get more later):

001:Not his/hers. Provided or confirm complete ID.
002:Belongs to another individual with same/similar name. Provide or confirm complete ID (including Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Generation Code, etc.)

105:Disputes Date of Last Payment/Date Opened/Date of First Delinquency/Date Closed. Verify all dates.
112:Consumer states inaccurate information. Provide or confirm complete ID and account information.

101:Not liable for account (i.e. ex-spouse, business). If liable, provide or confirm complete ID and ECOA Code.
006:Not aware of collection – provide or confirm complete ID and verify Original Creditor Name and Creditor Classification.

111:Claims company will delete. Verify all account information.
012:Claims paid the original creditor before collection status or paid before charge-off. Verify Account Status, Payment Rating, Current Balance, Amount Past Due and Payment History Profile.

103:Claims true identity fraud, account fraudulently opened. Provide or confirm complete ID.
106:Disputes present/previous Account Status/Payment History Profile/Payment Rating. Verify Payment History Profile, Account Status, and Payment Rating.

019:Included in the bankruptcy of another person. Verify ECOA Code, Consumer Information Indicator, Account Status, and Current Balance.
037:Account included in bankruptcy. Verify Consumer Information Indicator, Account Status, Current Balance, Amount Past Due, Payment Rating, and Payment History Profile.

039:Insurance claim delayed. Verify Payment History Profile, Account Status, Payment Rating, Amount Past Due and Current Balance.
109:Disputes Current Balance – Verify Original Loan Amount, Scheduled Monthly Payment Amount, Actual Payment Amount, Amount Past Due, Current Balance, and Original Charge-off Amount.

104:Claims account take-over, fraudulent charges made on account. Verify signature, provide or confirm complete ID.
